Maine Moose Hunting Permit Application Deadline

Spring is coming fast in Northern Maine. The snow is nearly gone and we'll soon be able to open camp for the season.

It's time to apply for that 2012 Maine Moose Hunting permit. You can apply online at the Maine Inland Fisheries and Wildlife website. The deadline for online applications is May 14th, 2012. Moose hunting permits are distributed by a lottery system with the drawing in mid-June. If your lucky and drawn for a northern Maine Moose hunting permit, contact us early. Our lodge will fill quickly for the Moose hunting weeks.

We offer guided Moose hunts with full accommodations as well as lodging for those who choose an unguided hunt.

Maine Grouse Hunting Season Looks Promising

This years grouse hunting season is looking great. One trip into camp and ten grouse were seen. On the way out a dusk numerous woodcock were also spotted on the gravel roads. It should be a great October for us to get the English Pointers in the field and do some upland wing shooting.

Crisp fall morning and bird dogs go together. There is nothing more fun than spending a day flushing birds in the Maine woods.
